I can’t post a picture, I’ve tried over 7 times and it won’t upload. It isn’t even close to being over 10MB

A friend of mine just got into art in general and I’m currently kind of teaching and training him, but as far as him using his tablet, I can’t help him. He’s using Photoshop on his Mac since he can’t get SAI to work on it legitimately.

So when it comes down to how to help him with that stuff, I really cant’ help him out. I use SAI, and I’m not really a fan of photoshop myself, however, if there’s anyone out there that *does* use photoshop, do you think you could send me a few tutorials I could send his way?

An MLPG request: Nagashy/Lamiashy. Just a quick sketch.

Yes, I have an >OC pony. No, I don’t ship it with anything and it’s not some sort of Mary Sue out of Deviant Art.

I just wondered “hey, I wonder what a pony me would look like” and I made it. I took my time tonight to re-tweak his design a bit and I’m please how it came out.

Big thanks to Madmax, since she really helped in the redesign of it and helped out with the colors as well. I also got to learn how to draw the eyes in a new way!

Another free hand doodle I did of Gilda for Pacce

I did some freehand request of “a Diamond Dog on the toilet” for Pacce.

I feel like I just can’t into art right now. As in, yeah I tried starting up “Fun with a Pencil” but I lost steam with it. I have all these art books but I don’t know what would be appropriate to start with. I don’t know what to work on, as far as art goes. I know nothing about perspective, or color theory, or any of all this stuff.

It’s all so overwhelming, especially when I have previous experience, but it doesn’t feel natural when I try to learn. I feel like it would be easier if it was a clean slate.

Could someone help me out and maybe give me a little sense of direction? I don’t know what way is up with my artistic endeavors .

I don’t know what to do, I just look at my stuff and see nothing but the flaws, yeah that’s common with artists, but I feel like it’s what I see 90% of the time. Or like I do that more often than I should. No I ain’t fishin’ for no stinkin’ compliments, I want to better myself, I’m just not sure how.

I really wish I had my meds again, it’d really help with actual comprehension and learning.

I know I’m improving, I’ve seen it, you’ve seen it (I think). But I can’t help but feel I’ve been slacking off. 3 or 4 other artist I know who started at the same time have made about 3-4 times the progress I have. Yeah I know not everyone will progress at the same rate, but dang it I should have done better than this.

I’m not tearing myself down, I know I’m a “good” artist. I’m not great, I’m alright. But I’m not terrible either. I just need some help I suppose, and I’m not afraid of admitting it.

especially when you’re an artist. Man, that weekend was crazy. I have a kink in my neck, hypertension in my arms, sunburnt face, shoulders, and arms, and I’m still sore from all that dancing.

It was worth it though, twas an AWESOME wedding.

I just kind of feel bad about trying to draw for someone when I got a little cocky and thought I could work through the hypertension. Guess I was wrong, eh?

I also feel bad since I just bothered to take a look at that little follow number thing and WOW, over 50! And a few neat people following as well? Shucks!

To supplement the lack of drawing I’ll be doing for a day or two more, I’ll just post some of my favorite fanart from around the web here.

Anywho, I promise I’ll get back to drawing as soon as I heal up a bit more and take the time to rest.
